Why does the female part of this style of seat post binder bolt have allen key and a notch?
Am I missing something or is one or the other redundant?
For seat binders without a hole for the notch to sit in? Is it a "universal bolt" or something?

That image is straight from SJS, so I imagine it's fairly "universal" but the one that came with my frame is exactly the same...
