Wait, we're being trolled, right? Fake 531 frame, fake Columbus forks, single speed with one brake....
This guy is brilliant. I bet when you show up to buy this thing, you get a custard pie in the face!
Well trolled @TyPX, well trolled.

What are the measurements? I want to know the seat-tube (c-c), top-tube (c-c), stand-over and head-tube height. Assuming you're not Toni you will probably be happy to provide them.

" 6 but it's seriously light, has a stellar paint job and rides like a dream, everything is in working order so I would say £250 is a fair asking price. " every bike 'rides like a dream' according to the seller, and the fact that it's all working is one of it's selling points sends a message all of it's own.
the clearing price is not some sort of constant as if it's the speed of light - you've offered the supply - but the demand is now something you've messed up - and you've added transaction costs - people's time -
ask a million for it - that's fair- you can ask whatever you want. the market will come to you or walk away, that's how it works.
if you're talking about clearing this within the capitalist system of the market then fair has nothing to do with it, realistic might be a better way to go. drop it consecutively until someone takes it - i.e. dutch auction.lowering demand in those willing to be swayed by personal feeling towards you has already been accomplished quite skilfully, so you've effectively reduced your market to those who'll make a rational decision on the item and it's price. )_ but even they are not being allowed to know what the item actually is - i doubt a Raleigh has full chrome columbus forks so something somewhere is not right in either the stickering or the text
being scant and fishy with the details means even the rational rump must race to the bottom and assume the worst.no one's going to assume it's peach - but rather a lemon:
ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Market_for_Lemons
generally - what it has been bought for is no consequence at all - neither is the buyer's attitude - i'd buy this off Hitler for the right price even if someone had payed him to take it initially. No history, no future - it's worth what it's worth

This having being said, i'd say you've over paid for it if it was 250 -
i'd not expect anyone to bail you out of that - the best you can rationally hope for is a clueless customer or to reduce your losses by selling it for what it's worth -

^What's the right price for a buying a bike off Hitler? Just out of curiousiy.
I know a guy.

Selling it back to himself do you mean?
-
• #33
I'd totally do a good deal for myself. You losers will have to bring the big bucks tho
-
• #34
Nice looking bike, who made the stem?
-
• #35
The forks are original, the geometry feels compact and no my name is not Toni.
-
• #36
Is it UCI legal for weight? I'm interested in racing it in local Criteriums.
-
• #37
Not sure what you mean by feels compact but 'compact frame' is a very specific term relating to the frame design and involves a sloping top tube. Your bike clearly has a horizontal top tube so it is definitely not a 'compact frame'.
-
• #38
Ok guys so maybe it's not "compact" but it's really comfy, I can give you the exact measurements when I get home in you really want to know.
I don't know who made the stem and yes if you're not being sarcastic then it would be UCI legal. ;) -
• #39
Oh great-I'm only 5'3" though so I'm not sure it'll fit if it's not a compact frame. I suppose i could always use an inverse shim. is £250 your best price?
-
• #40
I'm 174cm and it's perfect for me, a little too small of anything, you're more than welcome to come and check it out and we can discuss prices then if you like it
-
• #41
Ok I'll have a think and get back to you. There's a really nice looking baby blue Foffa I've seen that's a bit smaller and it looks real fast so might try that first.
-
• #42
Shame the paint is 'professional army green', would be all over it if it was TA green.
-
• #43
I would also be interested if inverse shim compatible. Assuming completion backwards principle applies to both wheels what sound does it make when going down a 9 in 1 hill?
-
• #44
Also, post the frame number. Raleigh geeks will be all over this, must be super rare to have a raleigh with original columbus fork....
-
• #45
Not sure if it's backwards compatible you would have to come and check it out for yourself, cool keep me posted.
It makes geared bike sound when coasting if that helps -

What about this bad boy?

• #47
Is that one £250 too?
-
• #48
no foot retention device saves weight and chain is relaxed for reliability - only good mechanics know this, must have been regularly serviced
-
• #49
Is the chain slack extra or included in price?
-
• #50
How many gears has the BADBOY got? It's sick dude I'm tempted. Is it for off roads?
^^ probably nobody.
