Been riding on Panaracer Gravel kings, 700 x 28 on Archetypes for the last week or so, 80% road, 20% compressed dry gravel. So far, excellent. No real hindrance on the road. Well, there is a bit of extra weight and drag but they're so grippy and comfortable that I'm happy to throw the bike into corners or head off-road onto a path if I feel like it. Much better than the trial run on Paselas.
Not running silly low pressure either, I like a little feel so 80psi up front and 90 on the back.
I have used Vittoria Open pave (in 25 size) in similar situations and they are more supple and faster but they do cut up noticeably more.
Also, the Gravel Kings were £23 each, delivered for free, in one day from Winstanleys. Which was a surprise after the reviews I'd read about them.
