Kind of hoping my 200m TT isn't quick enough to qualify for anything so I can address the recent beer and jerk deficit in my diet...

Definitely want to come down to this, after taking little mashton to a kid's dance thing up in town in the afternoon.

The entire field gets to qualify for something. At worst you'll get a three lap dash and 10 lap sprinters' scratch race. Unlucky.

Quiet you. I didn't go to the pub after league on Wednesday (we'll ignore the 2 beers I had at the track).

Bike jumble news - I had a chat with Wally Happy on Wednesday, he and some of the the bike jumble mob will be there again under the canopy in the car park. Not to mention that @Ecobeard will also be flogging off his collection of vintage parts on the Brixton stall, from which 50% of the proceeds will go into the save Brixton Cycles fighting fund.

My favourite moments of the afternoon were listening to my wife accurately predict which of the sprinters had gone too early.

That was a cracking day yet again. We thought that last year would take some beating, and we only went and bloody done it. The sun even came out for us, despite the forecasts.

There was some brilliant racing and it was good to see the young riders coming through, with Ethan Hayter taking the madison with Iain Cook and 15 year old Alistair Fielding properly mixing it with the big boys in the sprint and nabbing second in the keirin.

The highlight for me was putting out an announcement asking if spectators wanted to put up any cash for spot primes for the sprinters scratch race, then watching all these banknotes suddenly being waved in the air. I was only trying to spice it up a bit and it turned into the race of the day. I think we ended up with £100 cash prizes for what was only supposed to be a consolation race.

Thanks to everyone who came to watch, can't wait for next year.
