  • I inserted two pieces of cable housing and some bar tape under the hood cap to flatten out the top surface. The Cane Creek v brake levers are more comfortable but a bit more pricy..

  • discs + wide bar = hopefully awesome

  • Wow now that's a wide bar. Should be fun off road though.

  • I am looking for a 2004 pompano geometry table. Can anyone help me out?

  • Go to the Web Archive's Waymarked Machine at http://archive.org/web/ enter On-One's address in the search field. Go back to 2004 if they archived that page then and choose one of the dates.

It's usually good. Hope it helps.

  • Thanks for the tip. Indeed found the old link.

The pomp I am looking at is advertised with 52 cm frame size and M/L. Looking at the picture I suspect it is a large. Any feedback on frame size?

  • The steerer looks too long for the medium. I'd say it's a large. Also the cable hanger's been cut off. No problem if you're gunna ride fixed, but does limit your choice of brakes.

  • I'm putting some flat bars on my Pompino and am looking for some decent levers for canti brakes. Does anyone have any experience of the Tektro FL740 levers? I believe they have a quick release to relieve some of the cable tension and make removing the wheel easier.

Also does anyone know anyone selling them in the UK, preferably online?

  • in the UK

    We're all Europeans now :-)
http://www.bike24.com/p2128193.html about £18 including shipping. You're unlikely to do better from a UK shop even if you can find one.

  • Superb. Thanks for the fast reply. I agree about the price. That's lots cheaper than I'd seen them on a US site.

  • I have a pair of avid speed dial 7 liying on a bag, inside a box, on a corner of mi room.
    Not getting use.
    Just saying...

  • Thanks, but I've already got a set of those. They're the wrong cable pull for cantilever brakes, excellent for v-brakes though. Even dialing in the feel you can't get them good for cantis.

  • Forgot to say I've also already ordered the Tektro FL740 levers from Bike24.

  • Dudes, still looking for a pomp frame in size small, on the off chance anyone has found one in the back of a cupboard since the last time I asked...? Not too fussed whether it is v1, v2 or v3 or which colour scheme. Not a V4 though, need some wishbone goodness!

    Anyone?

  • soz - not a response to dna tho, it's a large

  • ....my second pomp. this time with discs.

  • that looks rad dude

  • Is that the standard Pompetamine fork?

  • ...aye, has no disc cableguide though, had to use zipties.

  • Has anyone got a suggestion for some forks which liven up the pomp a bit?

  • Coupled mine to a set of fu manchu's

  • mine with too tiny tyres

  • Moar pics please
