New job now confirmed, so I've definitely got a new 40 minute commute, up from current one of 2 minutes. This is exactly what I'm aiming for with my sick commuter upgrade :
Except that I looked into it and thumb shifters will be too expensive, I'd have get the pauls components adaptor (which means giving money to BLB) and then the sram bar ends shifters.
Which makes this setup.
where as I can get the SRAM X9 trigger shifters on trade for cheap.
I managed to get some xtr m975 on ebay for the low low price of £69 because the seller decided to end the listing at 05:30 for some reason.
I think I might also get one of these too, it'll tidy up my spacer stack :
I just need pick bars and how much sweep I want current options:
I'd imagine more sweep will effect the handling.
Either way I will be getting some of these:
Then later on down the line I'll build some 650b 11 spd dynamo wheels so I can run 42c. Which will mean I can upgrade to rival hydro if I want to go back to drops.
