Saw this article in road.cc which pissed me off at tad! Arugh!! Hate technological advance at times and how I am such a sucker for it!!

But on my maiden voyage yesterday with the LFGSS douchebags, the bike handles really well, and I am so happy I went with the wider rim profile (25 external/18 internal) makes the bike so much more stable without compromising the handling when descending around the kent hills. Also there is the major big plus side how comfortable it has become compared to my Mavic elite s on the other bike.

Climbing wasn't too much of an issue and the heavier wheels and larger gear ratio (52/36) didn't feel like a burden, only burden was the rider and his lack of fitness.

There are some unquie elements that I spotted on the bike with Condor's built technique compared to Canyon factory built bike which I found quite interesting. (Will eventually take some pictures of what I mean) but I think the key difference is that condor might have put the internal batter in the seat tube whilst canyon default area is actually the down tube.

The only slightly disappointment and embarrassing thing was that I totally forgot that I needed the BB bearings and not only just the press-fit cups, which condor kindly order some rotors one for me and placed on. Live and learn I guess.

I swung by cadence and actually took this opportunity to weight the bike (the spread sheet didn't take into considersation of the BB and the Elite bottle cages) and this was probably the biggest disappointment (and the reason why people have digital scale to measure parts to see if they were actually the weight they claim) was that it weight 6.85, which is legal I know but I was actually aiming for 6.5. Room for improvement at the end of the day.

I'm sure it will be a while before you can buy it, so just enjoy this frame and then when the new one becomes available, buy that one and move the parts over. That way you have a bike you can enjoy and another to look forward to.

    It's win-win.
