  • Is your neighbour treating it now? This happened to a mate last year when selling his flat, the neighbouring property had knotweed picked up in the survey and his valuation until it treated was zero.

    They got it treated straight away (delayed things a bit) and the survey happened again and was fine.

    If you try a different lender and keep quiet, it would be fraudulent you need to get your neighbour to treat it immediately.

  • Any idea what treatment it was?
    The neighbour is in housing associate housing so I've spent time on the phone to them and they seem to be taking it seriously. They had a surveyor round last week who confirmed it was knotweed and are sending a contractor round next week.
