Tell them to stick their in house mortgage team, and survey, your lender will book in your valuation survey.

So much this. The agents get commission for the referrals. If you want the house, jump through their hoops, say thanks very much and you will probably use them, then after you've secured the house use good, local, independent mortgage brokers and surveyors instead.
