Managed to crack 40 minutes for 10k the second time on Saturday at the end of an Olympic distance friends, and wasnt very much slower than I did a park run a few weeks ago over half the distance....
Not sure what I need to do next, as my main aim is longer stuff so I guess it's good that I don't slow down, but wonder whether more top end speed would be useful!
