  • I find the Gmail app incredibly clunky on my 4s, and getting into my inbox on anything less than 3g almost impossible. having a little more success with Inbox, but mainly using that on my iPad instead.

Bromley apple store had no MacBooks in stock (although they said they'd get one in to order in about 3 business days). Couldn't face going into town. Impulse purchase thwarted, borrowing a laptop for my time away instead.

    sadface.

  • Wifi on iPhone 4S has just stopped working, looks like it can't find the wireless adapter.

Turning off/on doesn't fix it, hopefully apathy will and it'll start working again.

  • Adobe is releasing CC 2015, if that still fucks my computer, I rest my case...

  • The 4s I'm using currently used to have this issue when it belonged to the missus. Since restoring it, it's been fine. The phone is really starting to show its age though, which is a shame because it's by far the nicest one they've done to date in terms of build quality.

  • Released CC 2015. It's been a few days, GPU acceleration in Illustrator is nice, few other little things that are handy. My mbp has not been turned into a paperweight. No complaints.

  • I should add that it's releasing for us under the WAH license agreement, so we are probably at least a couple of months late... But I get it for free, so can't complain...

  • Can you get Facebook to load on CC?

  • i still want one.

  • ..I know, I know..

Don't worry, you will buy one!

  • (borrowed from the funny thread -)

U.S. Consumers Announce Plan To Get One Of Those

WASHINGTON—Saying that it looked great and they’d been wanting something like that, the nation’s consumers announced plans Wednesday to get one of those. “Oh, yeah, I’ve definitely got to go pick one of those up,” said Jason Munro of Manitowoc, WI, who echoed the sentiments of tens of millions of his fellow consumers by adding that he’d been hearing a lot of good stuff about it for a while. “I’m sure I could get one around here, but I could probably get a better deal online.” After receiving it, the populace reported that it works pretty good and that you should definitely get one.

  • What was it doing in there?

  • That's what she said.

  • I use the stock mail app with a cydia tweak so that emails can be fetched via push which is its only limitation

  • @ExTra MBP is back home with a new logic board! It took some skills to get it pass the useless Apple Store's teen team... but free repair. Many thanks for all the help guys!

  • have an old 1.1 mac pro which is now surplus to requirements, would like to get rid as it's taking up space. Would anyone on here like to take it off my hands for cash money?

    Let me know..

  • 1.1 mac pro

    Hi there,

Do you any pic's and how much would you be looking for in terms of cash money ?

    many thanks

  • You shouldn't have had to argue with the staff, it's clear cut case... next time just insist of speaking to the manager... this usually works. But glad it's worked out for you!

  • Just took me two attempts (and several hours of waiting) to ask for a supervisor, once done it all rolled surprisingly smooth... :D

  • After a few months of waiting, shouting, yelling and begging... As I did, I finally got the VIP card that allowed to bypass waiting, appointments and seeing shop monkeys, straight to the managers... That was in the strangest way, an achievement...

  • itunes update no longer Retina optimised??!??!?

  • So, Mrs Roboto's iMac has given up life. I think the graphics card has gone, but it seems like a complete pain to replace it on a mid 2010 i3 model. Anyone know someone or somewhere selling pre-loved iMacs for a decent price. Preferably something made within the last couple of years, doesn't need to be high spec though. Just enough RAM for Skype and ebay (she doesn't use Facebook).

Also, should I be able to connect a monitor to the dead screen iMac to get data off it, or is it best to remove the HD and connect it to the new machine when I get it? I've read conflicting stuff.

  • My iTunes update looks fine on retina macbook pro.

  • mine looks fine now too... all I did was go to East Beers and it fixed itself.

  • Okay, I've ummed and ahhed and decide a retina iMac is the way forward and will be buying in the coming weeks. What's the craic with the smart buying of Macs? I can get educational discount through the OU. Will that always be my best bet or one from the refurb shop. I've never looked at them before so don't know whether they come up in retail sales or web offers from 3rd party sellers etc.
