I think early onset middle age has struck the Norwich forum, roadies, full Lycra, shaved legs, socks...what next? Motorbikes? A 19 year old girl/boyfriend? The Lighthouse Family? Where does it end?!

Thanks Vickstein, it's got all the comfort of steel and quickness of modern day parts

2/7.
Although Fiona is younger than me, so maybe 2.5.

Lighthouse Family?

Nah, just lycra and socks I'm afraid :)
I can get on with most genres, but can't abide that MOR easy-listening dross!

3/7...and my wife is 7 years older than me so definitely not that one!

I bet you listen to a bit of Dido or Celine Dion on the sly. 😉

'White Flag' is a great track... Dido's pop anyway, so that doesn't count!

• #1886
Oh no Alex...

I'm serious! The only people worse than those that solely listen to regurgitated chart music are purported music fans that don't recognise pop as a legitimate genre. There's a reason why older pop songs are popular, and that's because they were bloody good. Aside from a few artists who would go on to be huge/benefitted from the first wave of the current music business model, you had to have at least a bit of talent to write a successful album in the 2000s.

Oh, Alex! Dido is turgid, bland, mum music. In fact, scratch the last part because I'm a mum and I don't listen to her!

I'm not saying she's the most charismatic singer of all time, but her songs have some great melodies, and she actually put some sincerity into her lyrics, which is pretty much all you can ask from pop. Either way, I'd much prefer to listen to Dido than any of the vacuous 2-bit produced 'starlets' out now! Plus, if Dido hadn't have recorded 'Thank You', than we wouldn't have 'Stan' in its current guise, and that would be a terrible shame. Anyway, music thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I am finding I nee to put a lot of force down to engage the clips to the pedals, is there anyway to make this less forceful mate?

They are adjustable, there's just a bit of a knack to it I think!
Campag chorus groupset was rather pricey at the time for me tbh, I do need to change the tape, the current tape is way to thick for my liking,
I will have a look at some fizik tape later on tonight, may look at some prologo tape as well.
No more red, I changed over to black gear/brake cable today which looks much better I recon, the bars were a massive pain in the arse to get the internal cable through so will see how I get on with them on my next ride out
Also waiting for a new Chris king top cap as the new one was slightly too small,
