anyone got a sensible alternative to the rapha long shorts. Looked at swrve but the dont fit me so well and am not so sure about durable cotton.

Im in a similar position... torn between Rapha Touring or Randonnee, Vulpine Summer, and Swrve lightweight shorts.

I own a pair of Swrve durable cotton ones and they fit well and are nice, material is just a bit too thick for this weather!

If anyone has a code going spare then that may force my hand?!

The Randonnee shorts are great, but why are they mostly such uncyclefriendly colours? The dark blue are great, but the pale yellow, purple and blue are guaranteed to get some oil on with me.

Just ordered the souplesse gloves, bonus points because they are matchy matchy with my no death no stitches cap and jersey!

I have the Randonee shorts in purple which are being returned shortly for a more cycle friendly dark blue and I also have a pair of the Paul Smith 531 over-shorts which are very nice (but pricey etc.)

Saw a dude rocking pink cap, jersey, socks and white shoes with pink soles (all rapha) and damn was he pulling it off =/.

I aspire to this level of FKW. Next week in the Alps I shall be rocking a coral climber's jersey, coral PT LW bibs, coral socks, coral PT gloves, and white GT shoes. I shall either look as cool as fuck, or like a total bellend. I understand the book's closed and no more bets are being taken on this one.

Disco slippers, baby. I have three and a half pairs of white cycling shoes now. Fizik R1, Rapha GT, SIDI 6.6 Genius (with sparkles) and half a pair of white Bont Vaypors. And one Vaypor which is partly white and partly brown.

Yep. Believe it or not, my cycling club's President knows a one-legged cyclist with one left foot who's interested in trying the remaining white Bont. Silver linings and all that.
