With nuts? Maybe two rear calipers with shorter bolts?

I've seen trikes with two sets of calipers ahead of the fork. Braking is still rubbish apparently.

Willesden Tandem Trike that rode the Newbury 12hr had a caliper brake with cantis in front, both mounted ahead of the fork.
