In a slightly dyslexic moment, I read that as "left the pub after 8 pints...".

My new commute takes me over Tower Bridge.
I fucking hate Tower Bridge.Imma have to go the long way round.

Ride in between the lanes of traffic and it is not so bad.

Hugging the kerb sucks on TB.

I do take the line, it is much preferable to riding the bumps of rucked up tarmac kerbside.
My objection is as much to the clusterfuck of roads and routes available once you are crossed (N2S)

Ah yes. Where are you headed?
I go down to Burgess park and there is a nice cut through to there if you go left on Tanner St and then right, left, right onto The Grange. Avoids a lot of the crap of tower bridge road.

Lovely evening yesterday and I was on my new'ish to me Genesis Fortitude with freshly installed Schwalbe Big Apple tyres. Decided to extend my Westminster - Kingston commute by just sticking to the Thames path the whole way. Lovely stuff, however my eyes are still killing me from the pollen/bug clouds encountered. Still, couldn't really imagine anything nicer to finish off a Monday.

Nice lubed up chain. Glided in silently.

New saddle, not yet broken in. Hard as a log.
Rode the bumpiest route I know, loved it.

Nice ride in today...was some sort of free breakfast for cyclists in London Fields, but didn't have time to stop. Was a bit odd really as I was being simultaneously informed from one side of the path about the free breakfast thing, while from the other some posh ladies with dogs were telling me 'it's not a road'. Sharp people.

A while back I encountered a pug on a bus that fucking hated me. It went batshit crazy at me when I got on and the owner had to contain it on her lap. He kept turning around and giving me the stinkeye though.
Today I encountered this pug again on the pavement, he still fucking hates me. I'm being bullied by a local pug.

I did my 1st ever commute on them Tannus solid tyres today on the Dawes Fixie. I've done about 400 miles or so to get used them (and them used to me?) and we're starting to get on better. Deffo more rolling resistance but just about do-able. 1Hr 27mins when usually I'd be in at around the 1Hr 18 mark or so but factor in only 4 1/2 hrs sleep and a slight headwind I think it was OK.
This morning commute expressed as a Captain Beefheart track...

Rode in on my girlfriend's bike as she'd left it at my house. Started off thinking "This slightly lower saddle barely makes any difference". About a mile in that changed to "Ow my knees, ow my knees".
Also, been using a hub geared bike for the past few months so I kept stopping pedalling whilst attempting to change gear and getting to traffic lights in too high a gear and remembering I couldn't change down.

Solid traffic all the way home. Didn't enjoy any of it, except for seeing this guy in Fulham who had the 90s look down perfectly. Reebok Hexalite, lovely 90s road bike with pink on it, possibly Concorde?

Last night after the pub I rode home through a completely empty richmond park with only rear lights on... Enough light from the clouds, everything still... Lovely.

Lee Valley was lovely tonight. Enough of a breeze to keep the flies away and stop me from melting too much. Plenty of people out enjoying the fine evening air. Will ride again.

Not really a commute but not sure where else to put
After http://www.lfgss.com/comments/12270190/ < this about a month ago I got a concussion, short term memory loss, and serious back / neck pain. Had a month of work, mri scan's, neurologist appointments, physio, was starting to feel a bit better.
Went out for a my first proper ride about 30 mins ago, got hit by a car again, back hurts more, pelvis hurts more, driver didn't stop again, same road, got a plate but not sure it's the right one.
I am cursed and it's fucking me off... Called police they said report it tomorrow at the station so will do that.
On the plus side they found the driver of the taxi and he is going to be tried for driving without due care and leaving the scene so getting somewhere... 2 months later...

Shit man, sorry to hear.
Left the pub at 8 after a couple of pints thinking it was a good opportunity to get home before the heavens opened. Didn't get far before feeling a few spots and bailing back to the pub.
Left again after a couple more pints and rode home on freshly-greased roads. Many effortless skids for absolutely no reason.
