This almost looks like one of Graeme Obree's latter Hour Record bikes...

Ehm...that's brave.
Especially as I had to get a MTB rim put on my kids transport bike...how long will that rear last you think...? ;)

If the fake Bora is one of those 70mm aluminium rims which are all over Alibaba, it's probably a pretty strong wheel and well up to baby transport duties.

Hard to mangle a 70mm alu rim, indeed.
The cheap alexrims or whatever on my Raleigh didn't survive 8 KG of joy for very long, DT swiss however are indestructible so far. But also, eh, heavy.
You can have strong / light / cheap, pick 2 ;)

Yeah but that brake lever hovering in front of the stem, attached to a campag calliper...

Was actually thinking similar.
Wouldn't (but would make up a half-arsed excuse to 'let em down gently' as it were). -

I understand what he was trying to do, but the final product looks a bit shit honestly.

The Pina and Cinelli I posted earlier were taken off a Bike radar post, coincidentally even the guys at Bike radar weren't appreciative of the ridiculous stems on those bikes , not to mention the massacre of that Cinelli. Needless to say if you fancy a good read, the guy didn't take too kindly to his bikes being scorned : http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=13030616

Took me a minute to notice the saddle.

@JWestland Regardless; that seat should be attached to the seat tube, not the seat post.
Riding fixed with a baby seat must be a bitch. So many times that I need to freewheel around tight corners or to turn around to see what he's doing. One of those times when you've just got to be practical and style can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Having said that, I think mine has a certain JNSQ

That whole cockpit area is a fucking mess. To be fair, it's all a mess, but where the stem meets the... what even is that?

Not bad...not bad :)

That's actually an old photo, it looks like this at the moment. I ditched that old rack because it made the steering weird. Bodged front rack is far more secure.
And... I've just noticed that the bars are bent. Bollocks. Anyone got any nice swept bars? These were off a bike left out for the rag and bone man, so similarly priced, ideally...
Considering that this is the bike I do most miles on apart from my tarck bike, perhaps I should splash out.

perhaps I should splash out.
If you can run to about £12, you can still buy Raleigh North Road bars new
I love the TT style with hybrid handlebars:
Yours for £550 on ebay....surprisingly it expired without bid so had to relist it.
EDIT: I just looked at that picture again....and realised the guy even installed a chain tensioner when he have an horizontal dropout!!! and long enough to adjust the tension.....
