Are the Garmin watches also problematic, or generally more reliable than the Edge units?

920 is supposed to be solid. But no mapping.

^ I've heard mixed reviews. I have a 3 and a bit year old Forerunner 405 which (touch wood) has been about as flawless as electronic devices get.
