Not if you've got a decent mechanic who compressed the housing. It's easy to do.
FTFY.
Cable don't stretch, housing compressed.
You'd still need to take it out for a good ride to bed it in properly.

Pretty much done...

Very nice.

Yep :)
Thinking a black chainring or crank may be a nice tryout if you have one lying about? Mirroring black/silver in frame.
Weigh now taking apart, so I can touch up all the chips, want to get BB out to ensure inside it's all nice and sound.

Just done a check over of my faknago before my trip. Everything works well enough even if it is a bit grubby. Need to buy a cheap rear pannier rack this week and sort out the zip tied mudguards and I'm I'll ready to go!

Maybe trim those guard stays too ... Otherwise Lolnago could become Lolnagowwwwww

Probably a sensible suggestion but I have nothing to cut them with. I rode it like this for a few months before Christmas and I never had any problems so will probably leave as is. There is only the smallest bit of toe overlap so it should be fine

Smart, practical build but why the Colnago decals?
Just makes you look a cunt to anyone who knows what a Colnago is.

Not something I would recommend to do it on the frame, especially how unstable putting it on a stand.

They were on the bike when I got it. I got the whole bike for pretty much nothing from a local guy who wanted rid. I find it quite funny personally, I was using it as a winter commuter and it did the job well

Alain Michel track frameset !

No doubt and it sounds like a bargain.
But why keep the decals: just makes you look like a wannabe.
What's the joke?
Anyone who knows their bikes, knows it's not a Colnago.
Anyone who doesn't know their bikes, doesn't give a fuck what it is.
Which just leaves a petty sub-set of people who know just enough about bikes to know what a Colnago is, but not enough to recognise what isn't, that you will impress.

I'm quite happy with the silver :) No need to change anything really

Removing the decals for me it more effort then it's worth. I consider this bike to be more functional over anything else. I don't really mind how it looks or what people think of it as long as it does the job

reallly rad , looks great, change of bars and also #slamdatstem and it would be even better
"New" (for me) frame that needs a decent build:
