What to do in the case of an accident (discussion)

advice people! was in a accident yesterday...

i was filtering between stationary traffic and parked cars. going 10kmph tops.
driver moves a foot to the left from being stationary to allow a bus (coming from the opposite direction) room to pass him. no indication. can't imagine he looked as he would have seen me.

my right hand went through his mirror and smashed it up. my hand had minor abrasions.
he accepts no fault. says i owe for damaging his mirror.

i've submitted form 207 to the police because he (effectively) said he is making claim against me, and i feel i cover myself. ridiculous. the clown is chasing me for a broken mirror. fucking cheek.

i now feel as if i should chase him for compensation for my hand.
is it easy or a massive ballache?
if the crown looks at the video any joy he'd get points on his license?
