• Also does anyone have a recommendation for light disc rims that can take 25mm tyre? Ideally slightly wider / 23mm.

Stan seem to have lots of offerings, but I'm confused as to which can you take narrower road tyres and which ones are wider.

  • How light?
I'm super happy with my belgiums(470g). They're really great and strong.

Or stans crest (360g). Had them before. Not as up to punishment (would need tuying more often) but good rims.

Weight isn't the be all and end all, but as you can get rim brake rims for c.450g I guess I'd like less from a disc brake rim.

That said it would be an all-rounder. Ideally low/box section style, probably in a 32h build so I don't know if I should care that much.

The PX pacenti look like a very good option. Hed. I think would be a bit too pricey.

What exactly makes the Crest need pampering? To the best of my knowledge all of my wheels have stood the test of time and the last couple I've tensioned them more or less equally from the start. That said I've yet to try bling spokes in low counts at uber tension. But I'm guessing a disc build is pretty much the same as a standard road build - just maybe stronger nds front spokes possibly at higher tension??

Anyway it's all a bit hypothetical at the moment.
