They're cheap race wheels so I'm ok with alloy nips on these.

Mine have Laser spokes. I'd go for Race (or splash out on the extortionate CX-Rays) if I'd had a choice.

Gotcha.

Definitely tempted by the rims - will consider having the build done locally (or lacing them myself as you suggested). One to mull over.

BHS sell the asymmetric rear rim.

I'm thinking about building one up with a powertap.
