Sadly I've not ridden mine yet. Out the box they look good, are true and round (as you'd hope) and there are no 'pings' when I throw them around my kitchen...
They're light (Arc31 set is 1605g with tape).
...at the price I could easily afford to have them trued by a local builder.
I know people who've done this with direct-from-china carbon and it's not a great way to go. A badly built wheel will frustrate it's owner and re-builder – better just to buy the parts, lace it yourself and get a trusted LBS to build it up.
