Found a basket kerbside that someone helpfully stepped on. Fitted, bent to clear shifter.
Got the old bb out - after months of penetrant still no luck. No access to vise atmo, so modified a can of scholl freeze spray to direct coolant into stuck steel cup.. came out clean as a whistle. Fitted cheap fsa 44/34. Downshifts fine but no ramps etc so upshifts are beyond finesse. Just messy. 44t is a treat with mtb 9spd rear.
Either the top race or fork threads are gone.. just noticed after putting new bearings so gonna leave it for a bit.
Final purchases: Deciding between powergrips or rrestrap/similar. Front rack.
