  • Been thinking about having another crack at Skyrim. Have tried it once before but didn't get too far, just had too much else to do. Should I pick up where I left off or is it worth starting again to refresh what's going on in the story?

  • I was in the same boat, just wasn't feeling it/didn't have time. Tried it again, WOW. Music and atmos is amazing, hand to hand combat is really satisfying when you nail it, you are weak and die a lot early on but get a decent sword and level up your magicka and you're less of a jelly manlet.

Slaying your first dragon on your own feels great. And I know these games are made to satisfy the stats nerds but I'm totally ignoring crafting food and potions (just like I did in Fallout) and there's more than enough shit to do to satisfy the more narrative/action-based gamer.

Did the same. All that stuff is more useful/interesting in MMORPGs where there is (ideally) some sort of real economy.
