Ooo sciency looking too. Makes it a contender for that alone.
Def had a few brewed with it as well. -

If you like sciency then have a look at siphons.
Probably not suitable for you needs though but #madscientist -

+1 aeropress

Tiny, single-shot Bialetti are quick/easy/fun to use but you can't control much about what it produces.
An Aeropress gives loads of control and is ace for 'long' cups generally.

Looks like aeropress it is then. Tis my 30th in a couple of weeks so will be my pressie to myself I reckon.
Just been watching Siphon vid on youtube, looks like fun but a bit of a faff... -

got one of these from Tiger for £4. Paper filters and away you go

These look cool, probably my next coffee brewing n+1

I really rate my clever dripper(s) [one at home, one at the office].
Low faff, clean taste, is tolerant of less-than-perfect process.

Looks like tea.

Good to hear. I had a couple in cafe recently and defo would like as option alongside aeropress and v60 at home, might mean v60 gets dusty tho...
-

I even don't use my aeropress much anymore!
I reckon a complex washed coffee could fare better in a V60 than a clever, but it's all about time, technique and consistency (or lack of).
It would be interesting to hear how you use it to brew; do post and let us know how you get on.

+1 on aeropress. Quick, simple, clean, tasty

Also aeropress is nicely portable. I've even heard of them being used on aeroplanes.

I just wanted to plug this guy's coffee brand - Crankhouse Coffee
This came up on my instagram today - bike QR/coffee roaster modification!
https://instagram.com/p/3yqORHFRmW/He's a good guy, into cycling who roasts great coffee. Worth checking out.
I'm not an employee or on commission or anything, just passing on a good coffee find to the forum. -

I've used mine twice on the plane. You get some odd looks but it's a damn sight better than the shit on board

I would hate to hit some turbulence just as you begin the inverted method.

So I went to Circus Coffee in Crouch End yesterday(my fave place to stop off while working) and had a aeropress and a v60 coffee and a little lesson in each. Both seem pretty straightforward but think I'm gonna go with a dripper. The woman who served me said she got bored of her aeropress and found the dripper to be more pour and forget while getting ready in the morning.
Resisted buying one in there as they're a little pricey and not decided what one I want. Presume ceramic or glass is worth it over the cheapy plastic? Smart dripper mentioned above looks good as well though.. -

Bpa fear is a myth generated by mumsnet-esque consumer hysteria. Just sayin....
I used a ceramic one yesterday that was pre-heated in hot water.
I'm actually quite taken by the glass ones. Anyway, my bro just asked what I want for my birthday and he's a coffee geek. Just told him hario dripper and will trust in his judgement. -

Going to chuck my coffee bags away, had been hoping to find a second use for them as seems a waste, particularly all the d-bag type ones.
Any ideas before they become landfill?
Aeropress would be good for a single cup and it is easier to clean than a cafetiere.
