Haha - 2 years ago my brother did this race and we set out from London at 1am, it was pretty awful. This time we're both staying in airbnbs, though not the same one cos that would be sensible.
Right now I'm in Wootton Bassett, I've had to bring both the TT bike and my road bike as I've still never ridden the TT bike and am scared that I can't. Obviously making a decision about this on race day is the right thing to do because I always think clearly at 3am.
On the plus side I may not even make it onto the bike as I'm trying to kid myself I've done open water swimming when actually I've swum in the lido, once, in a bodyboarding wetsuit - and I fell over trying to put it on as I put a leg into an arm hole.
OH GOD.
Eugh... just reading the race info for cotswold 113...
Bike racking at 0400, race start at 0600??!! It's not like it's going to take all day! That means I need to leave home at 0300 latest and probably need to be up at 0200ish... That's my normal bedtime! I was expecting a leisurely bike racking around 0700 and a start at 0900. #notamoriningperson
