  • Just bought a full crabon saddle off eBay from China - I'm 100kg, what could possibly go wrong!?

  • I think i'm about the same, mine is fine

  • That you'll want moar crabon and buy a Px?

  • More than likely...I've just given notice on my company car, I can't justify £450 per month in tax to do 8 miles a day!!

  • Jesus, you could finance, tax and insure your own car for less than that (cough GTI cough). £450 a month would buy lots of carbon goodness too

  • Talking of carbon...

  • Looks...comfy?

  • I've been riding one the same for months now with no issues,

  • Actually seems it, will report once I've been for a decent ride on it

  • Can confirm that the new saddle is actually more comfortable for me than the Concor whilst on the drops which is my preferred position...think I need to raise the height slightly though as on the hoods I have to move myself slightly forwards - that or I need a longer stem #notaeuph

  • Never understood how anyone can ride in the drops for long periods of time; it's all about the hood(s), yo

  • All about the aeroz innit...

  • aero<comfort in my book!

  • Everyone knows that looking cool>comfort everytime! ;-)

  • Aha, not when you have the flexibility of a brick

  • Glad it's not like sitting on a razor as I precicted! Odd that you shift forward on the hoods though, as I do the exact opposite. I find shifting forward slightly so I'm 'on the rivet' in the drops is far more comfortable, as it shortens the hamstring stretch. Then when I sit up on the hoods/tops to climb something I shift back on the saddle to get maximum leverage (a long leg is a strong leg!) Still, whatever works for you!

  • @thross - I know you love your garish kit...

    Should I or ???

  • @hudsoncjnr Do it!! Fiona wouldn't let me get them, so I fully support you having them instead!

I've lusted after the Maglianera Caleidos for ages too, but they're just too much money for a single pair of socks.

£15 Alex, you can't put a price on style!

I think I'm gonna have to get the pink ones, just to brighten up my current all black everything riding ensemble...they'll go with white shoes, right?

  • Also, my Bro Style socks from Drug Store already do me quite nicely in the jazzy footwear department!

  • Aha, I pair a tenner for the Bro Styles, and that felt like a stretch.

They'd go with anything, I think. But black, white and pink will clearly work.

  • they'll go with white shoes, right?

    Of course they will...

  • I do amuse myself, coming on here to justify to myself spending a tenner on a pair of socks - like you lot would say no!?

  • Aha, I pair a tenner for the Bro Styles, and that felt like a stretch.

Not wanting to start anything (Mr Badass) but £15 is a minmum for decent technical riding socks IMO.

  • Don't get @thross started on frivolous purchases again Jules!
