Due to lack of entries the support endurance races have now been cancelled. The few who have entered already will get their entry fee refunded.
Instead we will be running a B sprint for sprinters who don't qualify in the top 16. Sorry for those of you who were planning to enter on the day but we can't run an event properly if we have no idea who is going to turn up.
This was a bit of a no brainer really. Given that the sprints are part of a national series we thought it only fair to allow the riders who don't qualify for the top 16 to get another chance.
We would have kept it as it is and let the non-qualifying sprinters ride the endurance races, but the new 35 rider limit from British Cycling has forced our hand. We have had a lot of sprint entries so far, and it would be unfair for half the field to turn up and only get to ride a 200tt.
The women's races remain unaffected.
Sorry for any of you who were planning on entering on the day, but as race organisers we can't run an event based on predictions of who may or may not turn up on the day. Our priority has to be the national series event and those who have made the effort to enter it.
The support endurance races tended to be a points chasing sandbaggers paradise anyway so this means you get to see more decent racing :D
