The Straggler was great today!
I had a comfortable, effortless, bagless, traffic-free commute home in the sunshine, loaded with goodies.

Nice. Is your Ortlieb the large one? Currently I have a Carradice super c saddlepack, the fecker wont stay still, and in trying to get it high up on the saddle rails, I seem to be pulling the webbing straps away from the bag.

It is indeed the large one. I'm very impressed with it. It had a good few recommendations in the bikepacking thread and I've personally found it to be very sturdy.

Cheers. Will find a local supplier, and go have a look. May get in touch with Carradice, see if I'm doing summat wrong, maybe an 8l pack should have better support.

I have the medium one, it's a good sturdy connection to the bike. Really easy to take off and reattach if required.

Do you have a bagman?
Or the SQR?

Had Rival shifters moving an X7 derailleur. Swapped it out for simpler downtube friction shifting and Deore. Bike is getting closer to how I want it to feel.

Nice. That is one hell of a headtube. What size frame is it?

Thanks. 62cm seat tube, 59cm effective top tube.

Picked up this 1992 Super Galaxy 531ST with Deore DX groupset today, in the original Straggler purple. Needs a few tweaks and then ready for summer touring. Seems all original apart from the usual replaced tyres, chain, cables, and bar tape.

Functional BBBikes. Not Porn not Anti??

It is a really big bike. It fits well enough, but it has a really stiff and dead feeling as it is meant for loaded touring. Frame is likely going to be swapped for a Soma Double Cross as soon as I sell some unused bike bits. Will make for a livelier ride.

Got some sweet colour coordinated bungees from wilkos a couple of weeks ago. Loving this bike, so useful for lazy cruises/errands/trips to the pub... I was hoping that this wouldn't really attract thief attention here in Leeds, sadly 2 chavs shouted "sick biek" at me earlier as I rode past, this is worrying.

Nice
I need a bike with mudguards as back up otherwise they'll fit on Rychtarski guard-less ..
Hetre still going strong though; might put latex MTB tube in.
