  • Is your cat paying your mortgage? I think she should!

  • That would be so awesome. But I have to pay for it myself. If it works out, the shed is bigger then my current house :P

  • Did you mean to say you will put shelving up and the cat will use it as she pleases?

  • Here is our cat corner/ wall!

  • We've been meaning to make something like that for the past 6 months. Soon, soon! Any idea what floating shelf fastening they use?

  • Yes. Shelves with Fur she can hold on to with her nails.

  • Why does the cat always wants a cuddle when I come out of the shower? It's kinda annoying...

  • Anyone found a reliable method for stopping a cat from miaowing at 5am?

It's Tesla, she wants some attention, she gets ignored until the alarm goes at half six but she's not stopping it.

  • invite her to spend the night outside

  • I have the same problem, but with 2 cats.

  • I feed mine if he's persistent*. Gets me another few hours of peace.

*Warning - This may be habit forming.

  • This is my BFF, partycat. She belongs to one of the neighbours and I don't know which one or what her actual name is. She usually drops in for a visit if I'm out in the garden.

Today she's like "yo, I dunno whatever shit this is you think you're doing in your garden, but you'd better stop it right now and sort out some pats for me, stat"

  • Problem with that is that also shuts James and Higgs out

  • well, there are always casualties in war...

  • collective responsibility. punish them all and the stronger ones will pressure the weaker ones back into line.

    do even army?

  • I jsut tell mine to shut up, and magically, it works... some nights. I have found she only does it with there is no food left (my fault), she's caught a mouse or when the weather is bad outside. Last night for example, she waited patiently by my bedside for me to wake up for a cuddle. Cute, isn't she?? :-P

  • The cat hasn't been in since 6 this afternoon, I saw her in the garden just before that... I know she is hidding somewhere nearby because there is a party going on in next door's garden and she is too afraid to brave through the nosie and people... fence is low so they can see us and we can see them etc. Is there any point for me to go try getting her in? Or shall I just leave her be? There is no sign of them ending the party any time soon...

  • Anyone found a reliable method for stopping a cat from miaowing at 5am?

I've been ignoring mine for 11 years. He still does it most mornings, it rarely registers with me now and I'm asleep again long before he gives up.

  • ignoring mine for 11 years

    hahaha

  • So...that works.

You need to sit the cat down and talk to him.

  • He gets plenty of fuss other times, just not at 4.30am.

  • A water spray always stops a cat at 4.30 am.
That and making sure the food bowl is overfull before you going to sleep.

Me and Sam are celebrating today - 3 years of him being cancer free.

but I'm a bit worried about him. I will be office based instead of home based for half the week from tomorrow. He only has ever known me to be at home. Every time I go out he follows me to the end of the road and is sitting there (or nearby) when I return and meows like he hasn't seen me in a million years. Please does anyone have any tips to help combat this?
