All Black legend Jerry Collins and his wife have been killed in a car accident in France. Fingers crossed for their baby daughter, who's in critical condition in hospital.

Jerry Collins bumped into the manager of Barnstaple RFC on holiday, and promised to turn up and play for them. He turned up unannounced and played a game for their second team and coached their kids. Wore a pair of Barnstaple socks when he played for the Barbarians.

Can you imagine being a local scrum half, turning up hung over on Saturday morning to play Little Humping and seeing one of the hardest tacklers in world rugby turn up on the other side...

If I was playing fly half I'd stand very deep, and send my inside centre back in on a crash ball for a laugh.

Only just found out about this shocking news. We met Esther in Norway for the Styrkeproven race in 2014. We were only 6 brits among 1500 participants. I feel totally sick.

I have a fondness for the man, mainly because my late Grandad loved him and used to make me mixtapes of him and 'Klaus Wunderlich and his amazing organ' which I loved when I was 7.
I rang up my mum when I heard the news, as she was the only one who I knew would appreciate the magnitude of the news.. She said she was going to go and listen to his ABBA megamix as a tribute.

I saw him at the Albert Hall a couple of years ago (don't ask). I thought he'd already croaked it there and then on the stage, such was his 'movement'. Still, he was always bang into his music, even toured again this year, so kudos to him. #lifer
