They were warming down on rollers in the car park after FFS. Aren't there rules against that at track league?
-
• #153
Depends if you're racing the Tour Series at Canary Wharf the next day or not.
-
• #154
Lifetime bans IMO

• #155
You're just bitter that your deep sections didn't get you under 12 seconds :)
-
• #156
Very consistent from you though Rob. To within 0.05s of last year's effort!
-
• #157
Yeah, prob slower :)
I really need to learn how to sprint......
-
• #158
I was almost 2s slower than my last timed 200 a month ago. Either I'm going like a bag of shite or there was some dodgy hand timing going on there - certainly can't blame it on the wind.
-
• #159
One doesn't simply learn how to sprint
-
• #160
True, I suppose it is a curse that some of you are born with.
panics whenever more than 20yards from deck chair

Oh and I was hearing on Saturday that BC have set a 35 rider track limit for HHV.
-
• #163
So, would they ask which cat you intend to race in when you sign on and you'll have to stick to it, with a cap of 35?
-
• #164
I have no idea how they intend to work it or enforce it. Sign on would seem to be the most sensible way of doing it, but then it favours people who can get there early, which is prob not fair on everyone.
I also heard that they want it upped to 40 though.....
Tbh at the moment the only cat it would affect is b's at TL (which is no bad thing) but you get some big fields for open meets and they're relatively 'safe'.
-
• #165
So dumb. 35 is sensible for indoor, but 35 outdoors? Means we will never get a reasonable length mixed a/b race this season. What a pain.
Like the sound of KIERIN!!! :)
-
• #166
If they run the 35 riders thing on a first come first served basis, it will be a total effing nightmare. We're going to be seeing tantrums.
-
• #167
Reading the rules, it looks as though we would need to petition our 'regional track secretary' whoever that is...
-
• #168
I think Pete Catermole is doing just that.
Also I heard that CP Crits was (supposed to be) limited to 60.
Tough night last night that. Really struggled to get the gear going in that blustery wind.
-
• #169
Enjoyed the pursuit but I think I could have gone harder. I can see that's something that takes a bit of practice and experience.

Reading the rules
You wot m8?
-
• #171
I always find getting the effort right for the length a bit tricky. It's not long enough to settle into a rhythm like a 10m TT, but too long to be a kilo vom-fest.
-
• #172
When they looking to instigate the max rider rule? Thats going to properly impact the Open Meets
-
• #173
Roadmans with only 35 riders should be a bloody laugh. With the rate that people drop out there should be about 4 riders left at the end.
-
• #174
35 rider limit was instigated last night which is why the planned A/B 20km was split into separate races. Yet another reason to reduce the length of the final race...

• #175
you got a link to them? ta
Don't think I didn't notice @Tricky_Business ! I've made a note.
Lucky for you the Nuun boys turned up with discs, 5 spokes and rollers (in the car park) so they received most of my ire.
