You wanna go down pains hill, not trevereux, then across on Monks at the bottom. Trevereux is awful, doubly so if it's wet (twisty, v steep, narrow, bad road surface, pseudo-private road; have to get out through a gate at the bottom)
Likewise on the wetness, it will be my first outing on the new gal and I don't want to be riding in the wet on Chinese crabon.
