The "so so" hand gesture when the distance was displayed was just delicious.
-
• #1128
He absolutely blitzed that...not even out of breath!
-
• #1129
just needs to spark up a ciggy or have beer for full legend status

If my lip reading skills are up to scratch i believe he is complaining that his arse is sore

Shoes look like custom Giro Empires, for whoever asked about them up-thread.
-
• #1132
Shoulda used a Brooks B17
-
• #1133
so Alex bagged a 52.937km, Wiggos put some distance onto that.
-
• #1134
A Victory lap with a G&T and I would of put a portrait of him above the fire.
-
• #1135
Well, he is quite the boozer.
-
• #1136
Been drinking so had to do math on the calculater, thats an extra 1.589km to Wiggs, don't have a conversion table handy but thats about another mile onto to Alexs....
-
• #1137
Apparently.
-
• #1138
he didn't look that cooked after, getting back on the bike & all.
Suggests he didn't dig deep enough...
-
• #1140
yeah the post @xavierdisley posted on twitter a couple of days ago suggests that the air pressure cost him about 490m.
-
• #1141
Yeah saw that there, forgot he moved onto them from his bonts.

"that is the closest I've come to knowing what it's like to have a baby"
Come a close 2nd to Hatton after his fight with Mayweather, "well it's not a tickling contest is it"

How bad was the coverage though? A record of this type needs all sorts of charts and calculations to keep checking what pace he is on, I had to resort to minimising and getting the calculator up.
And the commentary as others have mentioned was embarrassing. My favourite was Kirby saying that when riding this type of event "Everything becomes a dark zone beyond yourself. "
-
• #1144
The best part was Sky TV missing the start, and the commentary was sycophantic to the extreme

• #1145
So going on chatter here.
Some aero tweeks and carefull timing for best conditions and another 500m should be doable by Wiggs in current form, or 55+kmh
-
• #1146
Closer to a km just from the conditions, I doubt there's much more aero they can do.
-
• #1147
Nice nod to British manufacturers, Hope made the chainring.
-
• #1148
Why no branding then?
-
• #1149
My favourite was when Rob Hayles rather adventurously suggested that 'when he came up that ramp, he looked like Bradley Wiggins'.

Would be interesting to see how far he can go with the secret squirrels pursuit bike.
Wide forks vs the narrow and flat ones.
back on the bike for more - masochist
