  • I'm just about to do accreditation on the York velodrome, and start league next week. I'm fully expecting there to be crashes during league because of the amount of inexperienced riders, as the velodrome has only been open a few months - I'm including myself in this...

Possibly stupid question here but I'm pretty sure the rules stipulate two layers, in case of crashing, but is that likely to make a difference on concrete? I was planning on a light base layer (to keep me cool) and a jersey. I seem to think HHV are a bit stricter on having arms covered, so is it a case of LS jerseys, base layers or arm warmers?

For the 10 or so training sessions I've been to I've always had arms and legs out and the coach has never mentioned it, so I may just keep seeing if I can get away with it - is this going to lead to unnecessary pain in a crash though?

    Ta.
