  • You must be psyched about the citril finch then!

  • Ha didn't know about that. Had I done I would have diverted to see it on my ride to Cromer today as I was a bit of a birder when younger and did a bit of twitching. That's a proper mega right there.
Best twitch I went on was also at Holkham and was a Short-toed Treecreeper. About the 3rd or 4th British record then and hadn't been seen for many years. There were about 100 twichers there when I got there and it people weren't getting good views so were getting quite angry. Fights were breaking out to get the best position! Which was handy for me as it scared the bird and sent it onto the edge of a hut about 10 yards in front of me. Superb views! #csb

  • I was probaly down to about 30rpm

My typical cadence for any incline greater than 1/25

  • My parents are both pretty keen twitchers, especially now they're both retired. My best 'life tick' to date was spotting a Golden Eagle in the wild above Glen Nevis when I was maybe 11 or 12. We'd gone out to look for one especially, and I was seriously pissed at just having seen crows/buzzards all day; I remember saying, "oh look, another bloody crow" or something along those lines after spotting something in the distance, and then realising my mistake as one soared overhead. It was majestic.

  • I remember going into the city for bird watching...then I got all old and sensible and settled down and got married, can't think of anything worse than a night out "in the city" these days!

  • I'm at that age and I can't think of anything worse either! Pubs not clubs!!

  • Golden Eagle is a dip for me, never managed to see one. Do seem to be seeing lots of buzzards when out on rides recently though.

  • ..stuck my Mavic Ksyrium Elites on the Cannondale. The freewheel sounds bliss..

  • Today I upgraded the cougar... Rapid response from the 11 speed 105 groupset and carbon mavic sls rims

  • Ahh, that's yours! Nice bike; I saw it in the DH when I was in there at lunchtime.

  • Thanks mate the combination of steel frame and new wheels and groupset makes for an awesome ride, I loved the vintage campag but this is so much better

  • I have to say I preferred how it was before but I'm old and afraid of change.

  • I still have the old parts, but is much more fun to ride now,

  • I think I bumped in to you a couple of months ago on a sunday club ride, at a cafe in Loddon. I was a on a black and red Planet-x. Have to say I prefer the old components! How are the cosmics though? I saw on their instagram that the DH did the work on it.

  • Was that outside in the little garden I think that was my first club run, The issues I had with the old components was the Downtube shifters looked great bust wasn't practical for me, I then purchased some 8 speed record sti shifters which kept dropping down in gears in its own so was a right pain, the wheels were fantastic though so i have kept them as they have record hubs on and spin all day long,

The cosmics are amazing so light and fast, the front is completely silent when spinning which is nice, the ride is so much nicer now with these components,

I always go to dandy horse for the work as I know I can trust them to do a proper job and have no issues after the work,

  • Today I got wet/dry/wet/dry doing the Norwich 100 while sporting some very exclusive Tesco carrier bag over shoes..

  • With great help from August Wheelworks (@Keppel) i have managed to complete my girlfriends birthday project this evening. All built out of shit that was lying around, and colorcote powdercoated it... what dya recon?

  • Its not finished, but it works. Rides like a dream. Just need to fit a front brake and sort the coaster hub out... now off to deliver it. Yay

  • Colorcote did my bike for me and considering they only charged £30 they did a fantastic job

  • Looks pretty darn good!

  • Yessss! So sick, love the wheels and colour choice.

  • wheels are awesome...

today I am mechanicing for a charity ride back home in sussex

had to pump up a couple of tires at the start then drive around to fix a puncture. Now back sat in the bike shop getting paid to browse lfgss

  • I am jealous of the wheels for sure. H+Son formation face on Coaster hub in the rear and a Swobo up front. Roight noice x

  • Looks great Mark

Think I spotted you in the Playhouse garden a few weeks back, I should've said hello!
