  • Sunday June 14.

Sun from the front, following us down the coast (weather permitting..).

    http://suncalc.net/#/51.3869,1.4357,11/2015.06.14/08:01

  • Really, really looking forward to this.

Will be riding fixed w/brakless @71GI (46x17x23c) on the Condor Pista.
    Probably load-out BRP saddle-bag and hip-pouch.

The first 30-odd KM is along the Thames Path then mainly quiet country roads (so bring good lights!). After Herne Bay we will stick close to the coast which should be well lit.

    Ride leaves between 19:00/20:00 (TBC).
Sun goes down at 21:20 and rises at 04:30.

  • Am also looking forward to this. Anna may be on board too.

Where are you crossing the river? As we're south, we might cut across and join you on the Thames Path.

  • Cool!

We would be crossing at Woolwich around 20:30.

  • Can't wait for this!

Riding fixed (bl) around 70GI... With my Ortlieb backpack!

  • Backpacks!

  • Oh thats nice..

  • If anybody isn't confident with the full distance you can always take the last train back to London from:
    Erith
    Gravesend
    Strood
    Rochester

  • This Saturday!

  • I've just been handed my "be home by 3PM Sunday to pick up the boys, I'm going out" card from Mrs Y.
Any idea of a rough groupsave return train time?

  • Train takes about two hours.

I believe there will be enough of us to form multiple groupsavelettes so the time people return may vary subject to what people want to do.

Station is very close to end point - though some may want to ride the extra few KMs to Dover for the bonus tourism points.

    Between 10:00 - 12:00 ? (very delayed case scenario)

  • 3l waterbottle in the back?

  • ahahahha

its either this or fit bottle cages...

  • @|³|MA3K - Im game for coming along but got plans with mums for sunday, whats the furthest station we can make it to before 12? Will do research on last trains back

Edit. Do you think we can make it to Rochester before 11pm?

  • Prehaps Slade Green or Greenhithe/Dartford/Gravesend?

  • @BigH you have multiple mums?

  • One or two maybe

  • Is anyone up for riding until 11ish then heading back to London? or am I the only one :-(

  • About 6 hours of darkness, make sure your lights can handle that.
If you have any reflective stuff that would also be good to bring.

  • Just been playing with the route. Final distance 166KM.

  • For early bailers..

    Distance from London Fields:
    ERITH 25 KM
    GRAVESEND 45KM
    ROCHESTER 58KM

  • So it's a 6pm start?

  • 20:00 meet at 19:00 - I keep on setting the time but the forum switches it back..

  • Meeting is at the top of Broadway Market junction/w Westgate Street.
