I see what you mean!
I did have issues fitting the headset due to the original paint being so thick inside the tubing. I think it's a mix of needing a bit of adjusting & the paint isn't 100% straight : )

Could get your LBS to face the bottom of the headtube?
The engraving on the ht is absolutely ace, though!

I'll try and fix it myself, (mainly cause my LBS are a bit grumpy unless your buying a bike from them.)
Yeah, all the engraving and pantographs just set it apart from bikes I've had before. I spend far too long just admiring it!
