Lucky you.

Boss just walked into the office wearing one of those Strava Gran Fondo jerseys.
Did you spit at him?
-
• #3854
Tutted. He's actually reasonably decent, but falls into a few MAMIL traps.

Can't be as bad as anyone wearing a fucking team sky jersey. I actively ignore them on the road now. #fuckmurdoch

Anyone else's veloviewer score take a tumble of a about 0.5pts recently, with VV claiming some activities have been deleted?
Edit: vv was having trouble with my rockclimbing hours on strava, all good.

I mean it is a pretty nice jersey, if you ignore the wanky "look what I did" message it sends.

$120 to make yourself look like a piece of salmon. Kidding. I bet they are shit quality too. Stupid startups. Who buys this shit? Oh yeah, idiots!

I've got some Team Sky stuff, it was silly cheap in the sale.
Plus it means I'm fully identified as a MAMIL to everyone.

Anyone got any recommendations for a good value-for-money strava compatible heart-rate monitor?

Currently 12th in the country on the May MTS. Trying to decide if it'd be worth the effort to try to be No 1 one month. Thinking it's more likely to make me slower than faster though.

UK? Good luck trying to get past Steve Abraham, he'll be putting in 9000km+ each month now he's back from his broken ankle (looks like his team forgot to subscribe him to this months' MTS).

• #3865
Yeah UK. Ah, bugger that, figured 3.5/4'000 km would be doable. 9'000 not so much.

Move country to where there's no-one doing HAMR?

Anyone use this extension for Chrome

I bet they are shit quality too.
Quite the opposite, they're the same as the IAM team jersey.
-
• #3869
Yes. It's quite useful in a data geek way.

Looks interesting, but should I have any concerns that it can "Read and change your data on app.strava.com and http://www.strava.com"?
Guess this is kind of stuff most apps etc say, but I'm precious about my ride history.
Tell me I'm just paranoid! -

That's fantastically interesting, thanks.

Caveat: I've skim read posts on the 155 pages of this thread but I haven't read all comments .
I'm feel like I've plateaued (or am in the inexorable process of plateauing) in my running and cycling and I'm looking for motivation (PBs in London that I can reach for) and inspiration (new routes to bash out). Have running kinda in control but I want to link up with some more local cyclists on Strava - is there a place on here where we can buddy up?
My Strava ID is 7510979
(In light of what I have read I realise I sound like a data whore but, well, I like stats.)NB. I'm a real person in the real world and before I left London for a coupla years I did a bunch of rides from this forum.
Thanks
K

Edit: Oh wait, no, you can't do that because you're not in london, are you? Well move back then, what's wrong with you?!

Judging by recent activities, now back in london.

Does anyone know any common reasons why other riders /flybys don't show on a ride? They usually just appear automatically but nada for a group ride I went on yesterday.
Only ever seen this when team Strava went past, while in San Fran last year. Never seen anyone in the UK wear anything with Starva branding.
