Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

Hi, we have all discussed this in a few occasions if you look at the thread. Different folks like different strokes, so there isn't a right or wrong answer to you question, it is more a matter of personal preference. The Pro Team range is designed to be race tight, so should, in the case of the bibs, feel a little awkward off the bike, but once on, a perfect fit. But, it is possible to 'size up' and get a more relaxed fit. I would say from my experience, that a large pair of Pro Team bibs will feel tighter than a medium pair of classic bibs.

This is why I use the hair bobble, not a single issue since I used it.

classic one for the more relaxt longer tours and pro for the faster turns. like both fits.

I was thinking of longer rides where I might not want to be fully lycra'd up. I'll probably just go for the bibs under shorts approach.

Does it fit a decent amount of stuff? Thinking of using it to hold my puncture and tools in my commuting bag.

I get a tube, CO2 device and tyre levers in there, plus an emergency gel. Could fit more too. I do think it needs some sort of strap at 90 degrees from leather strap to stop the contents spilling onto the road at random times.

Cheers not a problem if spillages. It's simply to hold everything in my bag. Might give one a whirl.

I second the statement regarding extra strap. Mine opened up twice and on both occasions my spare tube got stuck in my wheel! Now use an extra strap and all is ok in the world...

Ah the smell of the Ventoux in soap form. £10 is a shit load to pay for a small bar of soap, but if you are using it to clean gloves it lasts bloody ages. I have had one bar for the last two years and still have half of it left.

Bloody bargain, if anyone was thinking about what Pro Team shorts are like, go balls deep and get a pair, you can't go wrong at this price (unless you aren't a large).

The JLT shorts were a Pro Team derivative, you can see this from the 'convicts of the road' branding on the strap. Have a look at eBay in a few days and you will see them listed at twice the price...

They were a stonking bargain, I just sent size L PT bibs back to Rapha to size up but for that money I was gonna gamble on losing another 3kgs this summer.

The JLT Condor bibs is a lot more comfort than the Team Sky Pro bibs.

Anyone want a pair of medium leg warmers? Worn twice, £25. In Bristol or can post for an extra £1.50...
