Inside of the nds chainstay? That's by design. You can see a bit on the nds seatstay as well. Inside of the forks are painted as well.

@Dry: Can I buy your parts bin? :D Bike looks great; like the all black.

As in why did it get replaced.

Only chainstay needs some cleaning and paint after being replaced.
