  • So this is a long standing project that became a momentarily finished project before rapidly becoming a WTF project. I posted 2 years ago about a first road project where I resurrected a TF Road Rocket frame with a seat post stuck in it http://www.lfgss.com/comments/9650252/. Took me that long to figure out what I wanted, but got there in the end. So...resprayed the frame and got replacement decals sorted...then layered a die-cut print over the top of the base coat and lurked in the What Groupset? thread to work out the options. Was happy with the result. HOWEVER...first test ride...changing up to the bigger ring on the front and one of my cable guides seems to have cracked under the pressure and nearly fell off. Can't believe it.. simplest thing yet so much impact. This bike has almost been a lesson in why to ride fixed. Any suggestions for a solution here or where to go? Re-welding clearly an option but having just sorted the paint it feels like a massive kick in the nuts...can't think of any other option though. Thoughts gents?

  • As in so many silly fiddly little bits....bits that break and yield your bike partially useless. None of this crap with fixed.
