All tubes are definitely not the same. The Conti tubes I've had have removable valve cores which can be unscrewed by certain types of pump. There is nothing more frustrating than getting a puncture at the side of the road then having your pump release all the air (and the valve core) once you've spent ages pumping it up to the required pressure, leaving you back at square one.
We used to only sell Conti ones on lmnh and people were always doing that. Once you're aware of it you just are sure to tighten the valve befor putting air in the first time. Other than that I've never had a problem with Conti tubes
They are one of very few that will allow you to use valve extenders. It' means cheaper tubes for deep profile rimz. The bedwetters are using the spanner tool that come with it to lock down the inner bit.
