Yeah. Not time before transcon. I don't think. But I like the idea. Like the idea of London-Bath-London too. A historic TT.

Wrote some notes about the 600k Beast. Forgot most of the horrid stuff by now thankfully.

This a beautiful expression. And perhaps a top LP name.

- You'd have died. (I've seen your jacket and toe-warmer-wearin' photos remember)
- I grew up in a land of sweeping.. a fucking hot place.

I just saw the brief ride summary posted by ACH for Windsor Chester Windsor. One dropped his bike in a river on the outward leg and another fell in the same river on the way back

When it was down to 0 in the nights, I wore everything I had.
Mesh merino top
Merino T shirt
Fiandre no rain jacket
Arcteryx Atom polartec jacket
Gore rain jacket
Merino buff
merino hatt
merino gloves. And I was still colder than an icecube.

I just did a short ride in Houston at 85 degrees Fahrenheit or so. I think I'll take hot every time

29 degC is nice and mild although it'd probably kill me having acclimatised to UK weather now.
Where I grew up we had nighttime MINIMUMs over 30degC

I remember one day in Quebec we had a day of 38C with humidity pushing the effective temperature of over 50C. We were really suffering so stopped in a cafe for coke, water and ice cream. We felt pretty revitalised but as soon as Mrs TSK got back outside she seemed to slip straight back into the slump. I dumped a bottle of icy cold water down her back which seemed to perk her up no end. Perhaps I should have told her it was coming first though. #CSB #GoodTimes

Ditchling Devil this Sunday. Weather looks gorgeous. Bet it's a busy one. Only did one audax last month and it feels like an age since then.

Should be good.
Hopefully it will be sunny yet cool.
It will look like a kingston wheelet club run tho.
Around 40/50 signed up for it. -

Say hello when you collect your cards from me (or one of the others dishing out cards). I'll try and remember to wear my LFGSS cap.
I'll also be riding so I get to play catch up from a delayed start.

EDIT: Was RRA
Where are all the long distance cycling records? I saw them before I thought on Audaxuk but can't see now.
Things like fastest london-bath-london.

BCM write up on the Guardian. Met the author a few times (on the road and at controls), chapeau for persevering with a cheerful spirit through some challenging times.

Nice. The young man's photography on the Pen y Pass seemed as effortless as his climbing.

It was more of a stream than a river to be fair, but super slippery. I nearly fell in and that was with my shoes unclipped and on the ground.

I rode into the back of him coming up the steep incline to the busy road from Barmouth causeway, he then apologised- which was completely unnecessary as it was totaly my fault- lovely bloke.

Lovely day out on the ditching devil audax.
First 200km on platform pedals and toe cage and not sore hip :)
Adidas samba are a fine non cycling shoe to cycle with. Just wished it had a stiffer sole.
Any recommendations for a good causal shoe?
Lovely weather and good food and I think it might be my quickest 200km so far.
Given how boozy they seem to be, ACH sound like the new LFGSS.
