I think it would have a much bigger impact if all the cyclists in London started turning up and having coffee in the various Brews, and strike up conversations with everyone else in there with regards to whether their interlocutor is saved, and if not whether they would like to be.

This can only go well.

And one is an annoying, loud, strategically-shaved Jack Russell terrier in a leather gimp suit.
It's actually not that interesting.

Take her to Cologne and the Hohenzollernbrücke, can't say it won't get cut off eventually but they seem to have embraced it.

Mr Wells shouts “There’s a ******* cycle lane”. He then gets out of his car and the pair launch into an angry exchange.
This is why I am against cycle lanes as a matter of principle. I think the concept of cycle lanes creates a disadvantage for cyclists, unless it's along an A or B road (less built up areas basically).

I'd introduce a global ban on locks on bridges. They're everywhere, Paris, Köln, Rome, New York. They have nothing to do with local customs or tradition and everything to do with naff tourist cliché, putting aside the environmental impact of casting all that metal and chucking all those keys into innocent river ecosystems. Melt them all down and make something useful. Maybe a giant snowplough type device for clearing slow-moving unimaginative tourists from busy bridges?
^^ Your prediction is likely correct, but I still don't envy his PR ladies who will be tasked with trying to clean up his Facebook account etc
