Really struggling to thread the right hand gear cable through a Shimano 6700 shifter.
Does anyone know of a good guide with pictures or video?

Some things seems to have gone wrong with my right hand shifter.
I was installing a new rear mech and the shifter stopped moving. I've taken the cable out and seemed to get it working. Then reinstalled the cable and it's not shifting again.
Any ideas?
I've opened the little side flap thing and this is what it looks like

The large section of the leaver you push sideways to tighten the cable / move down gears just isn't moving.

Why don't you use the cable stops?

Looks like they'd prefer continuous housing.

Your's were for hydro's right?
Isn't continuous housing (even compressionless) worse for both gears and brakes?
-
• #68583
Yeah, I had it routed "traditionally" last two seasons and the rear brake and derailleur cables give / gunk up after a few races. Trying to prolong their usefulness. Understand the tradeoff with performance though doesn't seem bad at all now I've done it.

You could try transfil mudlovers cables

No

I've put Jagwire sealed cable housing set on the girlfriend's bike, it work brilliantly and never even required a drop of oil to reduced friction through winter.

Don't suppose you want to elaborate?
As in the same or compressionless is better? Or c: other?
@owlz
But front derailer is fine?I would have thought the exposure to stuff kicked up from the front wheel would gunk up that exposed down tube cable way before one on the top tube?

Yeah, it's weird. The last run to the rd and first run to the rb were the problem.

Sorry - yes. Housing with interruptions is lighter, but in my experience it's at the interruptions where you get problems with compression and friction, probably amounting to the same or more than you would get with a full length run of good quality outer.

I have run a ghetto sealed cable setup on my cross check for some time. Never in the mud though, but it could work.

sounds like it at the end of it's travel and will probably require some tension from the outgoing cable to re-engage the indexing

Is there like a typical gift that's expected for 5 years together with someone?

Powerline adapters, have there been improvements in these over the years?
I'm using some cheapo 200Mbps ones I bought four years ago. Would 1000Mbps ones be 5 times faster or is the cabling the restriction?
Anyone have any they recommend?

Is it possible to remove the "selle italia" branding on the sides of this saddle? If so, how?

Ride it for a few thousand miles, it will rub off.

The bike is for looking at, not riding.

Cheap, slightly swept back riser bars (more swept back than usual, not as much as north road)
Preferably silver .
What are my options?
Cheers!
