  • Hi,

wishing to sell my Simoncini race bike.

    Built with 90% NOS parts...

I purchased this bike off the original owner and he's used the frame for 200 miles or so built up differently but soon after he built it like this. I haven't done anything to it other than keep it clean, it's never been ridden built up like this.

Frame + forks have absolutely no cracks, dents or bends. No corrosion issues anywhere on the frameset, very very few small chips to the paint (it's chrome underneath so super easy to chip). Chain has never been dropped or slapped against the stays etc etc

This has been built by a professional mechanic before it was left under a cover for 15-20 years unused. The hubs spin forever, everything is tight and feels smooth, it's ready to rock should you want to use it.

    55cm top-tube
    55cm seat-tube

. NOS campagnolo super record hubs
    . NOS stainless spokes
. NOS mavic special tubular rims
    . NOS Vittoria tubulars
. NOS super record rear mech + cable
    . NOS super record chainset
    . NOS chain
    . NOS campag block
. NOS calipers and levers (record levers and c-record brakes?)
    . NOS super record seatpost
    . NOS Cinelli leather saddle
. Used but very good condition c-record headset
. NOS cinelli bar + stem
. Used (but very good condition) Super Record pedals with Campag toe-clips and Cinelli straps

Quite hard to value but I'd like £1200 but happy to take serious offers.

  • That looks gorgeous!

  • Nice build what's the tubing

  • whoops forgot to add, tubing is Columbus Brain

  • It's a beautiful and interesting bike.

Interesting as it has quite a mix of periods of Campagnolo equipment vs the frame age

Frame must be late 80's / early 90s, whereas much of the Campag stuff is 70s.

The chainset is Nuovo Record (70's, early 80's)
The brake, I believe, are Athena (both calipers and levers) .. these are late 80's
and I believe the hubs are Record/Nuovo Record, as I don't believe Super Record existed when large flange hubs were made. (70's )

Shame it's not bigger as I'd love it.

  • Thanks, some campag is easy to detect but others, not so much.

I've got full NOS campagnolo groupsets from 60s-early 2000s if anyone is wanting to build this differently!

  • still here! Open to serious offers..

  • £1150
