  • First time outside (well, first time outside our place)...

  • Yes she was, in fact, we both were, it was 4 in the stupid morning and I just wanted to go back to bed.

  • My cat never likes the all expensive cat milk, a normal semi skimmed milk? Or custard? Or rice pudding? Oh MY!

Cat wants a cuddle 1st thing in the morning.
Cat wants a cuddle 1st thing when I get home.
Cat wants a cuddle 1st thing after I have had a shower.

Human wants a cuddle on a sunday afternoon when she is watching some rubbish TV. NO!

    Life isn't fair, is it?

  • Gorgeous.

What was the outcome with the stressed-out mum, if any?

  • Still working with her. We're hoping that her re-introduction to the wild (accidentally-on-purpose making her sound like a tiger) will give her the freedom and space to escape the kittens when she needs to and regain equilibrium. She is still showing signs of stress re eating (bolting down whatever we give her and begging for more) and growling at kittens/us from time to time, but this seems less of a problem now they're a bit bigger and seem less fragile - plus they're also very well adjusted/socialised and her craziness doesn't seem to be particularly unsettling them.

It's tricky at the moment as we can't let them all out (they're too small) so we need to keep them separate when we allow her access to the world but hopefully in a month or so they'll all be ready to go out and once they're happily coming and going we hope she'll chill out. She's a lovely cat when she's not growling at the world. She had an excellent growl-off yesterday with my beard trimmer. She also tends to have very firm words with the hoover whenever he makes an appearance.

    Trouble:

  • It has been a long hard day for the princess...

  • Who is who's servant...

  • My cats look after each other a lot, but they are brother and sister. They still like a lot of human attention, thankfully, but they're quite independent too.

  • Our two are sisters, Gabba who was the runt of the litter is very independent and does as she pleases, where as Gizmo is a proper human person cat, always wants fuss, never stray's far.

  • A somewhat random question, any suggestion for a pet hair killing or sucking vacuum cleaner? I have had enough of my cheap vacuum cleaner that does a good job leaving just as much cat hair on the carpet as before using it.

  • Kill all the hair! ;)

Do you brush her? I'm fortunate to have a garden I can brush/massage mine in - amazing how much comes out with one of these and they love it:

I only wish they'd return the favour!

In terms of sucking devices, I don't know what your price range is but Miele have always made very good vacuum cleaners for pet hair: http://www.johnlewis.com/miele-complete-c3-cat-dog-powerline-cylinder-vacuum-cleaner-red/p1681331

We did away with carpets a while ago though...much easier to clean floor boards and tiles.

  • All vacuums are the same. They all get clogged with the hair.

Dyson do an animal one, as well as miele.

  • Don't need it since only have 1 cat, but thoughts?

  • We use one of these,

  • I had the Miele one. It sort of works a little bit better compared to a normal version and it's like 4x the price. Not worth it.

  • My cat hates the furminator, I love it. I use it a lot (she's got soooooooooo much hair) and this is the first one that actually works.

Picture of my queen because she's so fluffy and soooooft kitty waaarmm kitty little ball of fuuuuuuurrr!

This picture is a bit older but that fur is sooooooooo soft.

  • what breed is your cat? She looks cute but kinda of angry...

  • Spooky Mulder getting spooked

  • shes a beaut.

  • British short hair in creme. She's sooooo fluffy. I bought her as a grown cat from a cattery. She had to go because she has a hereditary heart disease. Half the kittens died. That wasn't that much of a problem if she wasn't the boss of all the other cats, including the male cats. She's extremely kind to humans including baby's (as long as you don't brush her or lift her up), but don't put a dog or cat near her because she attacks.

Here's are pictures from the cattery:

    (ohhhh kittens!!!)

With the owner of the cattery:

When I still lived with my parents:

  • She sure is :P

Just can't get her off my lap. And she's a huuuuuuuuge kitty. She was 19,8 pounds last time she was weighed. And that with almost no fat.

  • Fucking awesome looking cat. Love when cats cross their front paws

  • Can I pop round? Just to fuss the cat....

  • Cuddles....

  • Haha yeah she does that all the time. Really lady-like.
