As an expat living in Paris, I should make you aware you're losing out on so many great pictures thanks to this "Not allowed outside London" rule. I'm sure I'm not alone in being amused by failed lockups, wherever they may have been.

I post Manchester locking fails all the time.

Looks pretty safe as the owner's watching you take photos of his bike.

Or he's waiting to nick it

OR, I know it's a curve ball but, that chap could simply be watching out for that guy's bike and making sure it does'nt get nicked. Just a thought.
