So I want to build a geared commuter bike.
The requirements are:
Cable actuated disc brakes.
105 or Rival groupset.
Mudguard mounts.
To be able to mount a front rack for carrying a bag for work and pizza, because, pizza.
And I want to use it as a winter road bike so keeping the weight to a minimum would be nice but I'm talking 10kg realistically.
The budget is £1000.
I've been looking at the Genesis Equilibrium disc and think I can build that up with 105 and aksium discs just within the budget. I have a finishing kit to put on so I only need frame, groupset and wheels.
But I've also seen the sram rival London road from planet x for £799 that I am tempted by. http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBPXLDNRIV/planet-x-london-road-sram-rival-22-road-bike
